River Farm

What an amazing find! We met Sam's friend, Sam, (and Sam's mommy) at River Farm this morning. It's a 27 acre property along the Potomac River purchased by George Washington in 1760; it's now the Headquarters of the American Horticultural Society. The most wonderful spot was the Children's Gardens -- a collection of mini gardens created to a child's scale, including the Boat Garden and the Little House on the Prairie Garden. The boys had a fantastic time, and we'll definitely go back soon!
