Sam had a special birthday party with his friends yesterday morning. We went to Meadowood Stables and rode a pony! We actually had two ponies to ride -- Cupcake and Cookie. They took a hayride, learned about horses, "drove" a tractor, and ate a whole lot. After Sam's nap, he opened a few presents, had some playtime and then his grandparents, Uncle Nick and Doriana came over for pizza and salad and one more cupcake (which he didn't eat). By the last cupcake, Sam really got the hang of blowing his candle out!

We started the party off with a hayride. Sam decided that he didn't want to participate, but he was happy to run behind the tractor. He later told us that he was scared of the tractor. He sure didn't seem scared of it when it wasn't moving! |

| The line into the barn... That's princess Dava in the back! |
| Learning all about horses before the pony ride! |
| Giving Cookie a bit pat. All the kids got to feed Cookie, too! |
| Ride 'em cowboy! |
| Everyone waited patiently for their turn. |

Grandma Ellen, Uncle Nick and Grandpa didn't get to ride the pony. |
| Food time! Yum yum! |
| Sam worked up an appetite! |
| Happy Birthday to you! |
| Sam definitely has a thing for cupcake icing. |
| So does "Other Sam". Yum! |

Those are some happy little cowboys and cowgirls -- full of sugar! |
| Sugar coma? |

How many 3 year olds wearing cowboy hats does it take to drive a tractor? |
| Sam opened a few presents after his nap. |

And played with trains on his new playboard from his daddy. He ran around all day telling people that his daddy bought him train tracks. |
